Thanks Terry. You re motivated me to take action. How do you handle those keywords where the map listings dominate the page?

@Derrick,
Derrick, don’t worry about the map listings; get a site ranked first and then when you get a top ranking; you can create a map listing in the area you want; works better when you have a ranking first.

Hey Terry,
Great information as always. What would a local sniper site look like? Do you have any examples to show us? What WordPress theme would you recommend?
Thanks,
Jeff

@Jeff W,
Jeff, I’m getting a lot of questions like that; wondering what the site would look like – sounds like I better do a video; however – plug your ears and close your eyes if you are easily offended cause you got me thinking.
HERE’S MY RANT: don’t get caught up in “what it looks like” – that’s not what you should focus on – in fact when I described the home page as having a listing of all the local businesses in that niche; that was it – then 5-10 pages with content, that was it. RANK THAT SUCKER and then play around with what it looks like. SPEED OF IMPLEMENTATION applies here. In fact it wouldn’t be much different than my site right here at FollowTerry.com – using the Semiologic Reloaded theme OR any theme that has a content and sidebar layout – I like themes where I can put a custom header, have a content and sidebar area and where you can change the background color – there are thousands of those.
Get it ranking first; play with how it looks second.
I know you guys are over thinking this; really really over thinking this – be sure to watch the video again and read my comments here – it’s so so simple – READY, FIRE, AIM.
Hope that helps; keep asking the tough questions because I want you guys to really get this stuff – hell for that matter make a site and email me the link – I’ll rip it apart and tell you what to do.

Terry, great job on all these videos and help you have given to me and everyone who are following you.
Alot of times, (and I’m probably not alone) I put the actual “doing” off. Not intending to put anything off, I just think I need more trainning or just need a few more tools to actually get a business going.
Well if anyone out their is like me I wanted to share this with you. It’s part of an email I recieved today and has got me moving on my thoughts and ideas.
It starts off – One of the best business quotes I ever heard is: “Money is attracted to speed.” I don’t know who invented it, but it’s dead on accurate.
Money IS attracted to speed. This is why you will always see the wealthiest and most successful entrepreneurs taking action right away and not putting things off. When they say they’re going to do something they do it without any dawdling or worrying. When they want to start a new venture, they do it now. When they need to make a deal, they do it now. When they have a goal, they start on it now. I can tell you from personal experience that this one concept ALONE can change your entire life and put more money into your hot little hand faster than anything else. Common sense? Yep. And yet it’s surprising how few people take this attitude. It’s frankly why most people are broke. What about you? Have you been putting off getting your business started? Then there’s no time like the present to do it. Every day you put it off you’re literally stealing from yourself.

@shane,
Shane, excellent stuff – I always say “Speed Of Implementation” and that sums it all up for sure.
One thing I’ve been trying to convey is what a solid business model is so anyone can grab an idea and build a real, long term business with it – that way whatever they focus on will be long term and sustainable not some one off hot affiliate offer that dies in 6 months.

Hey Terry,
Awesome stuff im totally going to be doing this. In my experience, business owners always talk about how they want your help, i.e. building the website, seo the sucker, bring them leads, etc. Then when it comes to actually having you do it they flake and ignore your calls. Well, I have had a travel agent do that and some other business owners. Looks like they will have to listen to me if I have their precious leads that they need to survive. I will keep you updated and email you like I have been, Thanks again and take care

Hey Terry,
How much does it cost to have a toll free number from call source and what package do you recommend on getting with wufoo?

@Eric,
Eric, I think the call tracking is about $50 for an account and wufoo is free at the beginning level; upgrade as you need more forms or start getting more leads to fill out the forms; pretty inexpensive.

Hey Terry , I have a question. How can you send all the leads to the same dentist if people are awaiting a call from another dentist? Lets say they write a message to dentist X but it’s dentist Y who calls back?
By the way you gave me some great ideas, once again!

@Justin Lavoie,
Justin, in the end you have to do what you are comfortable with; however I have done this when that happens; I send them an email stating that “this particular dentist” has appointment openings and that they are the recommended provider. Simple.
Rarely do you get a local company that won’t do some sort of deal with you if YOU own the leads – if they are that resistant they will either lose a ton of business OR come to you for leads; I would even tell them I have leads looking specifically for you that are going to other dentists; then ask “do you want these leads” until they make a deal with you.
